I am loving today’s installment of Fangirl Friday you guys! Just a little back story before we jump into the fabulous post from Jess at Literary, etc., I was a HUGE fan of Jim Morrison back in high school and college…like, obsessed! I still love music from The Doors, but my fangirl mode over Jim Morrison was on overdrive in my teens and early 20s. I had posters of him in my bedroom, watched the movie on my VCR about a million and one times, and even used the date of his death as my ATM pin code…morbid much! Needless today, as I read through Jess’ post I was hit with a serious case of nostalgia. So thank you, Jess, for bringing back those feels from one of my very first fangirl experiences!
By now you should all know what time it is here at What Sarah Read…it’s Fangirl Friday! A feature that is near and dear to my heart since I am a huge fangirl myself of SO MANY things…most recently, the new Wonder Woman movie! I love welcoming my friends to the blog every Friday so they can fangirl about their own faves.
Today, I’m welcoming Morgan from The Bookish Beagle as the Fangirl Friday guest poster and I’m so happy to have her back! You may recall Morgan’s epic Fangirl Friday post from a couple of years ago all about her love for the animated show, Adventure Time. This is still one of my all-time favorite posts from my Fangirl Friday feature. Morgan’s love for the show is evident and her enthusiasm in sharing that love in her post is exactly what Fangirl Friday is all about! Needless to say, her post today is just as amazing and, personally, I’m totally fangirling over it!
After a short hiatus for my Blogger Bucket List feature last week, Fangirl Friday is BACK! I’m so excited to be welcoming Megan from Book Birds as she shares a post that means so much to her. I really appreciate the time she took to pull together such a thoughtful and informative list to share with us today. One of the things I love so much about this feature is that it introduces so many of us to new things. Megan’s post today is a perfect example of how Fangirl Friday is not only a way for us to share what we love with other people, but also a way for us to learn about something outside of our own little world.
Ok, everybody! Grab your notebooks, pull up Goodreads and get a nice stiff drink because have we got an epic Fangirl Friday for you! I’ve got Mary from Mary Had a Little Book Blog guest posting and she is sharing the mother all of all book recommendations post! seriously, she’s got so many amazing recommendations that will keep you reading for a VERY long time. Bottom line? If you’re a fan of the swoony sports romance, then today’s post is just for you!
I am SO excited to be bringing you this week’s installment of Fangirl Friday! I’m welcoming Jane from It’s Jane Lindsey to the blog today so she can talk about her favorite television show. I was a huge fan of this show and watched it religiously. Then…I just stopped. Not sure why but for some reason I fell behind shortly in to season three and never got caught up. I keep meaning to get back into it and never seem to find the time. Because like any good fangirl I’m currently watching a million other shows, including my third re-watch of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In any case, after reading Jane’s Fangirl Friday post today, I am now more excited than ever to jump back into this amazing show.
Hi everyone! Thanks so much to Sarah for having me on your blog today! I love any excuse to fangirl, so I’m very excited to be a part of Fangirl Friday this week.
I’m not one to stick with TV shows. I’ll usually get a season in, and then my interest wanes. I don’t have the attention span to wait for a new episode each week or survive breaks between seasons. But there is one TV show that I’ve watched consistently for three years now, and that I love like nothing else. Today, I’m talking about The 100.
Happy Friday, everyone and welcome to another epic installment of Fangirl Friday here at What Sarah Read! Today we have Melissa from Live, Love, Read! I’m so excited to have Melissa on the blog today, you guys. I’m always seeing her at Boston-area bookish events and she always so sweet and fun to talk to. I love her post today because it’s gives me (and you too!) a real inside look to what makes her tick. Girlfriend LOVES music and today she’s talking about her all-time favorite band. I LOVE her enthusiasm and totally appreciate having a long time obsession with a certain band. So, here’s to another amazing Fangirl Friday! Take it away, Melissa!
Happy Friday, friends! It’s week two of the newly resurrected Fangirl Friday and today we have the lovely Brittany from Brittany’s Book Rambles. I’m a new fan of Brittany’s (don’t know what took me so long? Yikes!) and am thrilled to have her on the blog. Go check hers out when you get a chance not only is she an expert level gif master but her blog is absolutely gorgeous! Seriously, her blog design makes me swoon!
I’m loving Brittany’s guest post for Fangirl Friday and am hoping you discover some new to you POC authors or books that you may not have known about before. All of the books she mentions are on my TBR and I can’t wait to get to them. Especially after Brittany’s fabulous recommendations.
You guys! FANGIRL FRIDAY is back!! That’s right, I resurrected one of my favorite blog features and am so excited to tell you I have such an exciting lineup of fabulous bloggers that are ready to fangirl their hearts out!
Fun sidebar, as I sit here typing this post, I’m in the middle of my Buffy the Vampire Slayer re-watch! I’m currently on episode two of season five and loving it just as much as I did the first time. I ALMOST forgot how much I love this show. I may have to make a special extra edition of Fangirl Friday some day just so I can gush about how much I love this classic last 90’s/early 00’s television icon!
Speaking of amazing television, Andi from Andi’s ABCs is here today talk about her latest tv obsession. I have to say I’m pretty excited about this post because I was OBSESSED with this show back in the day. Reading through Andi’s post makes me want to do a re-watch of my own so I can catch the new episodes. Well, after I finish Buffy of course!
I have a confession to make, it’s not something I like to share with a lot of people because I always get strange looks and judgemental eyebrows whenever I spill my secret. But I trust you guys and I know you would never judge me for something I can’t control. What is my deep, dark secret? Here’s the truth everyone…I don’t drink coffee. Yup…that’s right. No coffee for this girl…I don’t even like it. Believe me, I’ve tried dozens of times. I’ve tried coffee with tons of cream and sugar, iced coffee, macchiatos, cappuccino, frappuccinos…you name it, I’ve tried it. I really want to love coffee though! I think about how lovely it would be to sit in a coffee shop with a good book and a yummy drink. Alas, coffee and I were never meant to be.
You know who LOVES coffee? Our friend Erica at Bloomsbury does, and she’s joining us for Fangirl Friday to share all of her favorite coffee spots from around the world. So this one is for all you coffee addicts!
I’m so excited for today’s post you guys! It’s the very first installment of my new and improved Fangirl Friday feature here on the blog! A month or so ago I put out the call for fellow bloggers, readers, authors and other bookish types to take over my blog to fangirl about their favorite things! I was so thrilled with the response and am excited for all of the guest posters I have lined up for the next SIX MONTHS!
For the very first Fangirl Friday I’m welcoming the fabulous and super sweet Ellice from Paper Riot! She’s here today to fangirl about her latest obsession, bookish artwork from Etsy! Ellice is a woman after my own heart and her guest post has me ready to spend some money!! Soooo…take it away Ellice!
