Welcome back, friends! I hope you’re loving Fangirl Friday as much as I do. It’s seriously one of my very favorite features on this little ol’ blog of mine and I’m so thrilled with all of the amazing posts that my friends and fellow bloggers have contributed. We’re nearing the end of 2017 and while I still have just TWO slots left for 2017, I don’t have anyone signed up to post in 2018. So, we have two options…
Fangirl Friday goes on a temporary hiatus (with posts from me every so often when the mood strikes)
I bombard you all with calls for sign-ups so we can keep the momentum going in the new year!
Let me know what you think I should do in the comments below!
In the meantime, today’s post is from yours truly! I was a flake and totally forgot to schedule someone for today, so I decided that I would share two of my latest hardcore obsessions with you.
Hi friends! It’s Friday and we all know what that means! It’s another FANGIRL FRIDAY! Today I’m welcoming fellow Boston-area blogger, Ellie from By Ellie M. She’s here today to tell us all about her obsession with k-dramas! If you’re like me and have no idea what a k-drama is, I looked it up for you! Entertainment Weekly put together this handy beginner’s guide with all the info you need to know. But I found this blurb that sums it up well… “A K–drama is a South Korean scripted television show and it doesn’t have to belong to the genre of drama–it can be a romance, thriller or comedy too.” (source) And for the rest of the details, our friend Ellie has you covered below!
PS: I still have a few guest spots for this feature left for the year, so if you want to make a special appearance and fangirl over some of your faves, be sure to sign up using the form at the end of this post.
Oh my goodness, you guys! I am so obsessed with today’s Fangirl Friday post from Kristin at Super Space Chick. I’ve always been such a fan of Kristin’s blog and YouTunbe channel. He enthusiasm and love for books, fandoms and fashion is contagious and her warm and bubbly personality always brightens my day. Today Kristin is sharing some of HER favorite YouTube channels and while I already follow a few of them, she definitely introduced me to some fabulous new people. I always love discovering fellow book nerds so thanks Kristin!
As you all know by now, I look forward to Fangirl Friday every week. I absolutely love having my friends on the blog so they can share what they love with all of my readers. This week’s post holds a very special place in my heart because it features a part of New England that has been a huge part of my life. I grew up spending my summers there, I ended up living there for a little bit, had my engagement photos taken there and as luck would have it, I married a guy who has family there, so I’m always going back. So when Lauren from Bookmark Lit sent me her Fangirl Friday post, it brought back so many amazing memories and just warmed my heart. It makes me so happy that she’s love this part of Maine as much as I do. It really is such a special place.
Guys, this has been such a rough week for me. I’m battling a nasty head cold and also trying to battle my way through the work week at my job. Work has been INTENSE and to be sick on top of it…is NOT FUN! Needless to say, I am VERY happy today is Friday…and it’s not any old Friday! My girl Kristina is coming into town for a few days to stay with me and go to the Boston Teen Author Festival. So stayed tuned for tweets and IG updates of our exciting weekend.
Today, I’m welcoming Alex from Booksy Daisy and she is seriously fangirling over a book that MANY of you have fangirled over. This book was one of the most popular books of 2016 and Alex’s gif review below totally cracked me up!
Happy Friday, friends! You’re in for a treat with today’s Fangirl Friday! I’ve got the lovely C.J. from Sarcasm & Lemons visiting today and she’s sharing a bunch of fabulous under the radar backlist books that you need to read NOW! I always love discovering older titles that I hadn’t heard of when they released…it’s like a whole new world of epic reading is opened up to me. So, many thanks to C.J. for bringing these books into my life! 🙂
Annnnnd we’re back! That’s right, after a summer vacation, Fangirl Friday is back to bring you all the feels, lots of flailing and of course…even more FANGIRLS! I thought I would kick-off this feature’s return with one of my favorite things to do, besides reading of course. I’ve always been a television junkie. I’ve watched more tv then one probably should as a child, but I think I turned out ok so it’s all good! One of the things I love about tv is when you find that PERFECT show that just grabs you and won’t let go.
For the past 15 years or so, television shows have really taken things to the next level and binge watching your favorite shows has practically become a national pastime. So for today’s Fangirl Friday I’m sharing some of my all-time favorite shows that I love to binge.
I decided it was time for me to contribute my very own installment of Fangirl Friday and what better Friday to do it then the day before I go to an event that will set my fangirl mode on overdrive! Tomorrow I get to see Hans Zimmer in concert!
I’m a huge fan of movie and television soundtracks, and Hans Zimmer is one of my very favorite composers! He’s the man behind the soundtracks for The Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception. Interstellar, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lion King, Gladiator and Dunkirk! That’s just a small sampling of his work! Seriously, the list goes on and on and on…
In all of my excitement for tomorrow’s concert, I got to thinking about some of my other favorite soundtracks and decided I would share the Spotify playlist that I’ve been carefully curating over the past year or so. But first, here are some of the best of the best from the playlist! I have to say, it was SO HARD for me to cut down this list, there are so many amazing soundtracks out there that I love.
PS – Stay tuned at the end of this post for a SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT about Fangirl Friday!
Today’s Fangirl Friday is perfectly timed, since I’m currently bingeing season three of the television show Meredith from Pandora’s Books is here to obsess over! I watched the first two seasons religiously every week when it first came out in 2013 and then somewhere along the way, I fell behind a few episodes and never caught back up. Since the series finale just aired last month, I figured the timing would be perfect to binge watch. There’s so much to love about the show…the drama, the swoons, the WARDROBE and the music. It all comes together to make an addicting and intriguing show. Listen, it may not be totally historically accurate, but it’s still a lot of fun to watch. I’ll let Meredith take it from here…
Today is a VERY special Friday, you guys! Why? Because today is the wonderful Ginger from GReads! birthday!
So what better day to welcome her BACK to the blog (she’s a regular around here these days) on her special day so she can talk about one of her very favorite things in life. For those of us who know Ginger, her name is nearly synonymous with a certain sweet summertime fruit! Ginger has an EPIC collection featuring this fruit and whenever I’m out and about and see something with this on it, it takes everything in me not to buy it for her. She probably already has it anyways! LOL!
