Blogger Bucket List: Travel Edition featuring Ginger from GReads Books!

Happy Friday, everyone. What an amazing week of guest bloggers I’ve had here on the blog while I was away on vacation! I hope you’ve enjoyed this feature as much as I have. My husband and I have another trip planned for August (YAY Switzerland!) and I think I’ll bring this feature back again for that week I am away, so stay tuned. In the meantime, I’m welcoming the lovely Ginger from GReads! Ginger is one of my oldest and dearest bookish buddies that has been an amazing friend to me since I first discovered the online bookish community. Like me, Ginger also has a serious case of the travel bug! Make sure you check out this amazing post about her Pacific Coast Adventure last summer! I’m not at all surprised that her guest post today is so fantastic and now I want to go sit on a beach and sip fruity drinks with her. Take it away, Ginger!

PS…Don’t forget to check out my Instagram and Snapchat to follow along on my adventures. You can also search the hashtag #sarahsirishvacay on Twitter and Instagram!

Hi, friends! When I heard about Sarah’s upcoming travels, I found myself both excited and envious. As someone who loves an adventure both far and near, my wanderlusting heart started thinking about crossing more places off my own travel bucket list. Last summer I had the amazing opportunity to visit San Francisco, then travel the Pacific Coast Highway south through Big Sur and down to Morro Bay. It was a trip of a lifetime! Today I wanted to share two destinations that have been at the top of my travel bucket list for some time, and one day I’d love to cross them off my list as well.

It’s sometimes known as the “Place of the Gods”, and if you’ve ever seen pictures of this unbelievable locale, then most would agree it’s unearthly magical. My desires to travel to Hawaii took root long ago. I’m not 100% sure when these wanderlusting thoughts came about. I just know that it is a place I must see and experience in my lifetime. I’ve even shared with my family that if something were to happen to me, I’d like for my remains to be spread here. I know, kind of a morbid thought, but it’s a wish I’d like to be carried out. Hopefully that won’t be my first visit though.

I only hope that one day I can pack my bags and jet set to
the luscious islands of Hawaii!

Point to India on a map, now move your finger just south and slightly west into the Indian Ocean. You’ve found the Maldives! It’s a chain of islands that sits just off the coast of Asia. I have been intrigued with this exotic locale for quite some time. The pictures of endless crystal clear turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, and those relaxing grass huts jutted out into the water has captured my interest for so long. I’m a beach girl (in case you haven’t figured out yet), and this location has all the makings of my perfect beach destination. I bet the blend of natural fruits and spicy dishes compliment its culture and relaxing atmosphere so well.

The journey to get to these islands may take days, but I bet
it will be so worth it!

I hope my post today has inspired others to add to their own travel bucket lists. Thank you so much, Sarah, for asking me to share two of my most sought after travel destinations. I hope you have an amazing time on your own travels and I can’t wait to hear all about it!!

  1. Oh gosh both of those destinations would be amazing!! I’ve been to Hawaii with my family in high school but I’d love to go back and maybe explore a different island. I would also love to visit Scotland, the Italian coast, and Sweden!
