Fangirl Friday with Ellice: Favorite Bookish Quotations for Your Wall!

I’m so excited for today’s post you guys! It’s the very first installment of my new and improved Fangirl Friday feature here on the blog! A month or so ago I put out the call for fellow bloggers, readers, authors and other bookish types to take over my blog to fangirl about their favorite things! I was so thrilled with the response and am excited for all of the guest posters I have lined up for the next SIX MONTHS!

For the very first Fangirl Friday I’m welcoming the fabulous and super sweet Ellice from Paper Riot! She’s here today to fangirl about her latest obsession, bookish artwork from Etsy! Ellice is a woman after my own heart and her guest post has me ready to spend some money!! Soooo…take it away Ellice!

Y’all, I’m incredibly honored that Sarah extended the invitation to me to me to appear on Fangirl Friday. I’ve been a HUGE fan of this feature since she started it—it has introduced me to new TV shows, great Etsy shops, fantastic new books, etc., so I was BEYOND excited to do my own version of Fangirl Friday. The only problem? Apparently I have a lot to fangirl about, so it took me forever to decide on a topic 😉

Since I recently became a first-time homeowner, I’ve spent a lot of time perusing Etsy shops for home décor. I love it because so many of the shops have unique items that you couldn’t just go buy in a store, and I can also find things that match my style perfectly. So when I decided to turn one of my spare bedrooms into a library (still a work in progress!), I turned to Etsy in search of some kind of bookish décor for my shelves. And guess what I discovered? BOOKISH QUOTES FOR MY WALL! I was in heaven. How did I not know that there were talented people who could do this? Not only do these shops sell predesigned prints featuring popular bookish quotes, but many of them accept custom orders! WHAT?! This means– YOU GOT IT—you can have your favorite bookish quotes printed and framed for your walls.

My Favorite Bookish Print Shops

JENNIFER DARE DESIGNS – This shop is where Jamie got my beautiful LM Montgomery quote for a Secret Santa gift. Isn’t it perfect? It will definitely be going in my library. This shop has a lot of cute pre-designed bookish prints, and she also accepts custom orders.

SHAILEYANN DESIGNS – This lady was kind enough to create a couple of beautiful prints for me that featured Liza Palmer quotes (one of my very favorite authors). I’m so in love with them! I sent these prints to Hannah and Cassie (who are letting me use their photos for this post because *gasp* I forgot to take one myself!), but I’m currently in the process of choosing my favorite Liza quotes so I can order my own version of these 😉

PEMBERLEY POND – If you like classic literature such as Pride & Prejudice, Jane Eyre, Little Women, etc., you will definitely want to visit Pemberley Pond! Their prints are amazing with such bright, vivid colors, and the only reason I don’t have one yet is because I can’t decide which one to purchase!

Aren’t these all just darling? Bookish prints are my latest obsession thanks to these shops. I’m sure there are other similar shops out there, but these three are my favorite. Do y’all own a bookish print that you love? I’d love to see a picture! Where did you purchase it? Let me know in the comments or find me on Twitter. I’d love to fangirl further with y’all.

Thank you Sarah for letting me appear on this week’s edition of Fangirl Friday and talk about one of my favorite things. It’s been a blast!

Thank you so much for such a fun guest post Ellice…you better share some photos when that library of yours is done! I already have a major addiction to Etsy and now there’s a few more shops to add to my favorites list! I’m especially loving the L.M. Montgomery print, so I’m thinking I’ll be making another Etsy purchase soon!
Stay tuned next week when I welcome another fabulous friend from the bookish community! She’s a familiar face to a lot of us book bloggers and she’s also a proud fangirl. I can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve for her guest post next week!
