Book Blogger Organization Challenge: Winter/Spring 2015

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Can you believe it…2015! A new year means a fresh start, and I for one am so excited for all the plans I have in store for my little ol’ blog this year! As I mentioned in my Top Ten Tuesday post this week, I have a lot of goals for 2015 and in order to achieve all of them I need to make sure that organization is at top of mind! Thankfully, I signed up for the Book Blogger Organization hosted by Brittany over at The Book Addict’s Guide!

This six-month challenge is focused on monthly tasks that will help in keeping my blog and other social media sites in tip-top shape and running smoothly. I’m so excited to be taking part, as I know this challenge will be exactly what I need in order to fulfill the goals I’ve set out for myself.

I’ve outlined my plans for January below and then will update it at the end of the month with my progress! Be sure to visit the last Saturday of each month to see how I’m doing and what I have planned! Hope to see all of you there because I can use as many cheerleaders as I can get! Otherwise, I’ll just stare lovingly at this gif for motivation!

JANUARY: Reading challenges, scheduling, & resolutions

  • 2015 Resolutions – I’ve got a list of ten goals for 2015 and I shared them all as part of my Top Ten Tuesday post this week. I’ll share my progress on those goals at the end of this month.
  • Keeping track of plans – by the end of January I hope to have a solid system of how I will keep track of not only my TBR but also my posting schedule. I’m currently getting started with Wunderlist and will have an update on my progress at the end of January.

  1. Yay thanks for joining in! Hope January is a breeze 😀

  2. […] The focus for this month was all about blog maintenance. The plan was to update old reviews, pages, layouts, features/memes, as well as clean up images, broken links, etc. While I did these tasks here and there, I don’t think I put as much focus on it as I should have. It’s definitely an important aspect of blogging and I hope to get caught up on these tasks in the month of March! Hangs head in shame! I did however, manage to accomplish some of my yearly goals this past month.  I managed to write all of my reviews within five days of finishing a book! This one is HUGE because I was getting a serious back log from sitting on books for too long. By posting them within five days, I get them done quickly and don’t have to stress about having too may reviews to write at once. The other goal I met this month was debuting a new feature on the blog, and I did that just this past week with the announcement of my “Footnotes” feature.
